PADI Wreck Diver – Diving Specialty Course

What’s involved?

eLearning or reading a small manual. 4 dives over 2 half day sessions at the wreck.

PLEASE NOTE: you should contact the dive shop in advance if you want to book this elective.

We have one wreck only accessible in certain conditions and at certain times of the year (Winter and Spring and only on good days!)

Our Wreck is not penetrable and so you will certify under the 2nd option of the course where you lay reels around the outside of the wreck.

Your dives consist of evaluating the wreck’s suitability for penetration, learning to navigate around and having good control of your buoyancy while diving around the rusty sharp objects.

In addition, the dive boat is private as we must stay at the same wreck for 4 dives

Who is it for?

If you know you like exploring wrecks or are going to an area where you will be likely diving on shipwreck, it’s good to get some knowledge and experience in advance.

If you are thinking about maybe one day doing cave diving or overhead environment diving then this is a nice foundation course to get your warmed up!

• Prerequisites: 15 years old minimum age and have the PADI Adventure Diver certification or higher.

How long does it take?

2 half days in the water and a briefing and debriefing session each side.

• Diving theory: 2 hours
• Duration: 2 Days
• Number of dives: 4 tanks in Cabo San Lucas
